effort. This also includes knowing what users need and delivering just that. Without proper thought and planning, it can be difficult and impossible to come up with an application that satisfies users.

For the second part of Smart Tips for Mobile App Development, the following list outlines what developers and companies alike should avoid:

• Do not create an application just because you want to or for the sake of it. Spend some time to see what people need. This will help you figure out what type of application to make and what features to include.

• Refer to consumer apps but to not duplicate them. Consumer apps are the best references to see how to cater to specific markets. Consumer apps can improve businesses especially since they reflect most of what people want. A word of caution though, everything that features slick and simple features mean they are fully functional and beneficial.

• Always consider governance and security. While mobile apps seem to be light versions of their counterparts, they should be able to provide the same level of quality or experience. Enterprise apps will likely handle sensitive corporate information. They should be equipped enough to handle and protect these details.

• Avoid creating a desktop application. Mobile app development fits platforms and methodologies that are more agile. Desktop applications can take years while mobile applications can only take shorter periods even months.

Bearing this in mind can help create better and more suited applications. Mobile apps cannot cater to everyone. Often, it is best to identify target and work on catering to the needs of that market.
